Seeking Inspiration

Writing words has always been
a simple form of art.
But with it brings some challenges,
like even where to start.

What would smarter men than I
take the time to say?
What would stop a busy friend,
who stumbles on the way?

Vulnerable, I take a pen
and scrawl across the page.
Pondering the simple things
while channeling a sage.

Writing is a simple thing
(when writing just to write)
but something else entirely
when searching for the light.

So take the time, and it will come
(if you try your best)
Put your pen upon the page
and never let it rest.

For even wandering words can land
where meaning finds its’ nest.
And there, in ink, your voice will rise:
Unshakeable, bold, expressed.
