Middle School
Eighth grade seems like forever ago! I’ve come a long way since 2007, but I must recognize it as the beginning. The creative years that followed can easily be traced back to assignments given in Mrs. Walker’s classroom. My earliest memories of poetry began with her and have lived longer than either of us might have had reason to hope.
Here is one of the first, in a long line of poetic endeavors:
Life
Walking
Jogging
Running
Sprinting
Going through life, things to do nothing to say
Fast or slow makes no difference
Time is always the same
What makes the difference
Is how you spend the time
You have in this meager existence
Called
LIFE
